Why the US government takes the UAP (UFO) Issue Seriously
In December 2023, unidentified drones flew over Langley Air Force Base in Virginia for 17 days, leading to the cancellation of training missions and the relocation of the F-22 Raptors, in just one of several similar events in a short time frame. How is the US Government responding to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (i.e. UFOs)? How are the needs of National Defense and Intelligence being balanced with a long history of UFO stigma? What is their responsibility to release information, and should the fear of public panic impede the release of all information? If we do not understand the origins of these UAPs, what are the potential geopolitical and diplomatic considerations? What are the risks of doing nothing?
Join Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Former Minority Staff Director of the Senate Intelligence Committee Christopher Mellon, who has been at the forefront of the shifting government orientation towards Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, as he walks us through the history, the current status, and what we may be able to anticipate in the future.
