We recognize David Moscow as the child actor in “Big” with Tom Hanks and “Newsies” with Christian Bale. However, his childhood experiences away from Hollywood in Maine, Utah and Montana inspired his work on “From Scratch” – a Nautilus Book Gold Award Winning book and television series in which he harvests, hunts, fishes and forages for ingredients and discovers the complexity of our food system and the fragility of the ecosystems it relies on … and he’s bringing it to Colorado!
Join David Moscow for an inside look at how an episode of “From Scratch” comes together as he interacts with a local panel of experts and our audience to design an episode of his TV show focused on Colorado cuisine.
Go “behind the scenes” with Executive Chef Nick Haley of Zino Ristorante, Scott Jones of Colorado River Ranch and the Eagle County Conservation District, Denyse Schrenker with the Colorado State University Extension Office, and Kiara Gomez from the Migrant Farm Worker Division at Colorado Legal Services as they explore local foods grown and ranched in Eagle County, area food sustainability, the history of food in Eagle County, the people who work in the agricultural fields and the way those foods are sustainably grown, prepared and presented.
