Kiara Gomez is a paralegal for the Migrant Farm Worker Division (MFWD) of Colorado Legal Services. She is based out of Denver, CO but works with farm workers across the state on issues related to their employment. The MFWD conducts outreach to farm workers and provides free legal representation on a variety of issues including labor trafficking, sexual harassment, H-2A worker contracts, and wage theft. Gomez represents the MFWD as a member of the Agricultural Work Advisory Committee created by Senate Bill 21-87. Through this group, Gomez chairs the working conditions sub-committee which serves to gather and analyze data regarding the working conditions of agricultural workers and report findings and any recommendations to the General Assembly. She holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of California, San Diego in Ethnic Studies and Political Science.
