Ambassador Catherine Ebert-Gray rejoined the State Department as a Senior Advisor in operations in September 2023 after nearly four years at the University of Colorado Denver I Anschutz as the Director of Global Education and over three decades in the U.S. Foreign Service, most recently as Ambassador to Papua New Guinea, The Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
She serves on the Board of WorldDenver, an affiliate of the World Affairs Council, and has served on four international school boards. She remains active in the field of global education, maintains extensive contacts, and has extensive experience in foreign relations, supply chain management, acquisition, international education, operations management, and business development. She was a U.S. delegate to the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum in 2018 and can assist businesses and organizations in assessing and targeting international markets.
Prior to service as Ambassador, Catherine served in a number of senior State Department positions including service at eight overseas U.S. Embassies and as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in Washington with oversight of State Department acquisition and supply chain operations; and as Director of Overseas Employment where she led the office responsible for U.S.G. overseas employment policies, hiring and compensation.
Catherine holds a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a M.S. in National Resource Management from the National Defense University.
