As the world prepares for the 2026 Winter Milano Cortina Olympics, join Sarah Hirshland, CEO of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, and Pat Kelleher, the Executive Director of USA Hockey, for a behind-the-scenes look at the process, timing and experiences as Team USA is formed.
They will share a look that is both broad and also provide a case example via USA Hockey, including their connection with the NHL. They will share stories from past Olympics, how the US Olympic Committee interacts with the International Olympic Committee, and how the shift between amateur to professional athletes has influenced the game. They will also celebrate some key moments that live in our collective memories and help make the Olympics special, including the anniversary of the Miracle on Ice.
To moderate their conversation, Sarah and Pat will be joined by Rachel Axon, Olympics & Women’s Sports reporter for the Sports Business Journal.
