Join us for our first Vail Symposium KIDS program: programmed by kids for kids!
Dogs can have many jobs to help make people’s lives easier. They can be emotional support dogs, search dogs, police dogs, therapy dogs, service dogs and so much more.
Join us for this free, family-focused event as we explore this topic with two dogs who have very different ways of serving. Miki served our country by sniffing out explosives. He is coming with his handler Chris Cappa, who works with the Warrior Dog Foundation to take care of retired working dogs. We are also joined by a local canine friend, Beignet, who works at Vail Mountain School and trained at Canine Companions. She provides emotional support to the students and faculty. Her handler, Dr. Kate Drescher, Psy.D., leads the psychological services team at VMS.
Come meet these exciting working dogs and their handlers!
