Paul Lasakow

Executive Director | TCC Roper Performing Arts Center

Paul Lasakow is thrilled to again share the stage with his great friend Clay Jenkinson and continue their long partnership celebrating the works of William Shakespeare. Having played a wide range of characters in both the classical and contemporary repertoires, some of Paul’s notable roles include Friar Laurence in “Romeo and Juliet” (Shakespeare in the Plot), Joe Stoddard in “Our Town” (Virginia Stage Company), Gonzalo in “The Tempest” (Shakespeare in the Grove), Charles in “Henry V” (ODU Rep) and Ray, the lead role in the premier of “Boxes of Someday” (Zeiders American Dream Theater). He is the founder and artistic director of Wisdom Heart Theater, a progressive, actor-centered company dedicated to exploring contemporary works of drama before deliberately small audiences. He has been married to the professional ballet dancer and choreographer Kathy Brenner for 32 years, and together they have one daughter, Sasha.
