Mindfulness for Meetings (and more!)

Our community began Thursday, June 11, 2020 in a soothing way–a workshop on building self-awareness and empathy. Speaker Amy Quinn provided the context for these important skills and also provided actionable steps attendees can begin using immediately to enhance mindfulness in their own lives.

One suggestion I particularly liked was taking a minute to settle at the beginning of meetings. Amy cited research showing that this simple act enhances concentration and focus in meetings. Another suggestion: Looking for the positive in others is a wonderful way to increase community connectedness. Can’t hurt. Might help. Namaste y’all.
