Rachel Axon is a veteran sports reporter who has spent nearly 20 years in newspapers and magazines, focusing on investigations, the Olympics and college sports. She joined Sports Business Journal in 2023 and covers the Olympic and Paralympic movement and women’s sports. Milan Cortina will be her second Olympics for SBJ and seventh overall, extending a run that started in Sochi in 2014. Rachel previously spent more than a decade at USA TODAY in a variety of roles, and she started her career covering University of Florida for the Orlando Sentinel and, prior to that, prep sports for the StarNews in Wilmington, N.C.
