    Judge Kent A. Jordan was nominated by President George W. Bush to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 2006. He previously was nominated by President Bush to the United States District Court for Delaware in 2002, where he served until 2006.  He retired from the bench in 2025 and joined the Delaware firm of Richards Layton & Finger. Prior to his judicial service, Judge Jordan served as an Assistant United States Attorney and was in private law practice.  He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
