Scott Barker has practiced law at Holland & Hart for 27 years – now serving as Partner in the firm. A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a Member of the American Board of Trial Lawyers, Scott specializes in complex civil litigation, including class actions. Leading over 70 trials, he has been named Denver’s Best Litigator in 2003, listed in American’s Leading Lawyers for Business and named Chair of H & H’s litigation practice July 1, 2009. Scott has been active in many pro bono causes including President of the Board of the Denver Christian Schools and has taught at CU Law School and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is currently serves as Co-lead council in habeas corpus petitions on behalf of five Guantanamo Bay detainees. A graduate of Internationsl Relations at the US Air Force Academy, he was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford Universities. Before entering law school at Harvard, Scott served on active duty in the air force for eight years – including tours in Southeast Asia and the Pentagon. |
