Please join us in congratulating Dale Mosier as he steps down from his role as Board Chair of the Vail Symposium.

He retired from the business world after managing companies for 25 years in the computer, engineering plastics and venture capital arena. Dale failed retirement as he and Jeanne became Peace Corps Volunteers in Africa which lead to a country Director role in Malawi. He then failed retirement again as he became immersed in Vail Symposium – highlights from his tenure include:
- Hiring Kris Sabel as Executive Director (retired)
- Creating the Conversations on Controversial Issues Series Moderated by Clay Jenkinson
- Championing live streaming & YouTube recordings
- Establishing partnerships with think tanks and universities
In recognition of his passion for global affairs, gifts made in Dale’s honor will underwrite ambitious programs in the Geopolitics and the Conversations on Controversial Issues series.
Vail Symposium is thrilled to announce that Lorry Prentis will take over as Board Chair on January 1, 2025.
Over her career, Lorry served as a Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before joining Deutsche Bank, UBS and Ernst & Young (EY) as Managing Director. Her experience in financial services in both the public and private sectors provided a special perspective in developing responses to banking regulatory and system risk issues.
She is a volunteer, frequent participant and former board member with Vail Club 50 and she is on the Board of Directors of the Singletree Property Owners’ Association.

Congratulations and copious thanks to Dale! Welcome and much gratitude to Lorry for stepping into the lead for Vail Symposium!
