    Sanford Levinson is on the faculty both of the University of Texas Law School and the Department of Government at UT-Austin. He is also a frequent visitor at the Harvard Law School, where he has taught courses on reforming the United States Constitution and, with Larry Lessig, seminars on a potential Article V constitution convention. He has written several books on the Constitution, including “Constitutional Faith” (1988, 2d ed. 2011) and, most recently, with his wife Cynthia Levinson, “Fault Lines in the Constitution” (3rd ed 2025).

    A member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Law and PoliticsĀ  Section of the American Political Science Association in 2010.
