Marcus joined the Mountain Youth team as our Intervention Specialist in 2022. He worked with youth and mentorship throughout his early twenties, and received his BA in Relational Communication Studies. He is a certified life and relationship coach. Growing up in a home where unhealthy communication was a norm, he understands the impact communication and familial relationships have on self-esteem, belonging, and actualization of youth. Upon moving to Eagle County, he taught middle school language arts, reigniting his passion for youth empowerment. He believes we can help families support and understand each member, providing the necessary tools for youth to be successful in their personal lives through evidence-based curriculum. Marcus is thrilled to be overseeing and expanding our We Hear U and Prime for Life programs, and his role with Mountain Youth has recently expanded to include broader partnership and engagement aspects. In his spare time, you will find him rock climbing, biking, and talking to houseplants.
