Helen L. Coons, Ph.D. is a board-certified clinical health psychologist who has worked with adults with cancer and oncology teams for over 25 years. She provides care to women and men with early and advanced cancer as well as their caregivers. Dr. Coons is a dynamic speaker known for her interactive presentations with health care providers and adults with cancer. She is a content expert on psychosocial oncology for media, presented at the Institute of Medicine on Psychosocial Service Needs among Women with Breast Cancer, served on four of Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s (LBBC) professional advisory committees, and LBBC’s Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Coons is President of Health Psychology Solutions, Boulder and Denver, and faculty, Department of Psychiatry, University of Colorado School of Medicine. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Temple University after interning in Medical Psychology, Duke University Medical Center.
