Cleon T. (“Bud”) Knapp is the former Chairman and CEO of Knapp Communications Corporation where he developed and published Architectural Digest and Bon Appétit magazines. Knapp recently published a book titled, “Living Beneath the Colorado Peaks, The Story of Knapp Ranch, A Vision of Architectural Design and Land Stewardship.” The book, written with his late wife Betsy, tells the story of their vision for land stewardship, architectural traditions, conservation and sustainable farming. Knapp’s belief in land preservation and open space have led him on a journey to discover modern alternatives to traditional conservation easements.
