Fmr. CIA Field Officer Bob Baer: When the Tools of War are in the Hands of the People

Thu Jun 13, 2024
6:00 PM - 7:30 AM

How is intelligence collected?  How do conflicts change when intelligence and the tools of war are available “on the ground” instead of limited foreign service circles and governments?  Robert Baer, a former CIA case officer, CNN Intelligence and Security Analyst, Time’s Intelligence Columnist, author of four New York Times bestsellers (one of which, “See No Evil,” was the basis for the film “Syriana,” for which George Clooney earned an Oscar for his portrayal of Baer), will share with us his vast experience as an expert on intelligence and the Middle East, including his attempts to lobby for Ukraine and insight on the conflict between Israel and Iran.

The program will be moderated by Emmy-winning journalist Greg Dobbs, who as a foreign correspondent for ABC News, provided coverage in more than 80 countries around the world, particularly throughout the Middle East and Russia.
