In Partnership with Bravo! Vail

Have you seen Puccini’s La bohème? Perhaps you learned to play “Musetta’s Waltz” in piano lessons as a child?  Have you seen the Broadway musical “Rent?”  Whatever your level of familiarization with the story, join us for an event that will help open the doors to understanding the world and story of La bohème.

Looking forward to the July performance of Bravo! Vail Music Festival’s presentation of Puccini’s La bohème with The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, author, opera expert and Sirius Metropolitan Opera radio host William Berger together with Nicaraguan-American Soprano Gabriella Reyes, who will be singing the role of Musetta, will have an authentically bilingual conversation about factoring in the Latin point of view to Puccini, his works and the culture of his realism.  William and Gabriella provide a more in-depth and augmented understanding of the context of La bohème rooted in their own experiences growing up around a multilingual opera.
