In a first for the Vail Symposium, our April 9 program on miscommunication with communication and leadership skills coach Julie Holunga was presented as a webinar. While nothing will replace the in-person experience, the webinar format proved to be highly interactive.
Thanks to the chat function, audience members were able to comment and ask questions throughout the hour-long presentation. The program encouraged participants to view conflict in a potentially positive light; such as a way of breaking through to innovative solutions for instance. Furthermore, it encouraged attendees to address potential conflict situations sooner rather than later–to prevent individuals from developing negative narratives completely divorced from facts.
This program was presented in collaboration with the Vail Valley Partnership. Our next program with the Vail Valley Partnership will be held on Thursday, June 11 when Amy Quinn will present on mindfulness and emotional intelligence in the workplace.
